Pet adoption special just in time for Valentine’s Day

NEGAUNEE — The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter currently has a special promotion that could have you bringing home a furry friend for Valentine’s Day.

The Give Love annual adoption campaign began on February first and will be running through February 14th. During this campaign, all cats that are of age six months and older will be available to adopt for just $14, the normal price is $65. This fee also includes vaccines, microchips, spayed or neutered, and more.

Since Valentine’s Day is all about sharing the love, why not do that with the help of a new furry friend?

“Partially with Valentine’s Day is this opportunity to give love and you can give love to your significant other or to your pet. We have a lot of homeless animals in Marquette County and beyond, if you’re thinking about having someone to snuggle up with on these cold days, a cat is a perfect opportunity to do so,” said Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter Executive Director, Kori Tosfava.

This campaign is in a network partnership with the Best Friends Animal Society, who often puts on holiday related promotions.
