North Central boys hold longest win streak in the country

POWERS — Just a week and a half after they broke the MHSAA record for longest boys basketball win streak of all time, North Central is now making national headlines for their winning ways.

According to State Line Sports Network, the Jets now own the nation’s longest win streak at 68 games. They surpassed Kentwood (Wash.) and Chino Hills (Calif.) after both teams tumbled this past weekend.

The team is currently 13-0 and have eight games left in the regular season. Their win streak would hit the 76-game mark by the time playoffs roll around. And if they are able to win a third-straight Class D title, crossing the 80-mark would be truly remarkable.
