Three in custody after interstate crime spree

ONTONAGON — Three people from Wisconsin are in trouble with the law after they went on an alleged crime spree in both Wisconsin and Michigan.

According to the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office, Dale Kasten of Ewen reported a breaking and entering complaint that occurred at his camp Wednesday afternoon. Guns and other valuables were taken from his camp.

Police believe the three people, said to be from Ashland County, Wisc., went on a crime spree in both states. They were arrested in downstate Cheboygan County.

All three individuals will be charged in multiple jurisdictions. Authorities are asking people to check their camps to see if they had been broken into.
