Steinhaus Market closes its doors to refocus efforts on downtown restaurant

MARQUETTE — Owners of a local deli have announced that they’re closing its doors.

The Steinhaus Market — located at the location of the former Union Grill restaurant in south Marquette — has been closed so that owners can focus their full efforts back at the Steinhaus Restaurant downtown. The Market opened in July of last year as part of an effort to expand cold storage and prep capabilities for the downtown restaurant and catering operations.

Owners say they’ve made the decision to consolidate their energy into a location closer to the Steinhaus Restaurant. They add that they are excited to bring their sole focus back to the Steinhaus Restaurant, and they say they have plenty of new additions coming there in 2017.
