Business offers veterans a free car wash
NEGAUNEE — In honor of Veterans Day, a number of local businesses are showing their appreciation for our nation’s heroes. Black Diamond Car Wash in Negaunee offered up a pretty sweet deal for veterans and their four-wheel machines.
From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., any veteran who stopped by received a free car wash. Black Diamond Car Wash owner Katherine Rodgers did this to show her appreciation to veterans in the area.
Rodgers’ family has a history of military service. Her father served for four years in the U.S. Army.
“It’s important for me that veterans and active duty military personnel have sacrificed so much, so it’s important for me to give back,” said Rodgers. “Everybody that’s come through I’ve given a top of the line car wash.
Rogers says she plans on giving a free car wash to any veteran on Veterans Day every year going forward.
