Arrest made in Chippewa County Sexual Conduct Investigation

SAULT STE. MARIE– According to the Michigan State Police, Joshua Sweet of Sault Ste. Marie was arrested following a traffic as a result of the ongoing joint investigation by U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General and Michigan State Police Sault Ste. Marie Post.

Sweet was arraigned today in the 91st District Court on charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree, Kidnapping and two counts of Felony Firearm.

Sweet was transported to the Chippewa County Jail and remains there on a $100,000 bond. ABC 10 will have more information as it becomes as it becomes available.
